- THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT INCLUDES DOL'S ANSWERS TO INDUSTRY QUESTIONS. AMENDMENT 0001 (1) THIS AMENDMENT PROVIDES ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS SUBMITTED BY INTERESTED VENDORS. THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE CONTAINED IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT. (2) THE DUE DATE FOR RESPONSES TO THE RFI IS HEREBY EXTENDED TO 8:00AM EST WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 2016 NOTE: INTERESTED PARTIES THAT SUBMITTED A RESPONSE BY THE ORIGINAL DUE DATE CAN RESUMBIT THEIR RESPONSE BASED UPON THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS AMENDMENT (IF THEY SO CHOOSE) REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DOL SEEKS RESPONSES FROM BOTH SMALL AND LARGE BUSINESSES THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT CONTAINS RFI INSTRUCTIONS AND A DRAFT PWS The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program (EEOICP) provides benefits authorized by the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). Under the Office of Worker's Compensation Programs (OWCP), the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) is responsible for the adjudication and administration of claims. The division includes: •Four (4) District Offices that process incoming claims. These offices are located in Cleveland, Ohio, Denver, Colorado; Jacksonville, Florida; and Seattle, Washington. •Each district office employs a Medical Scheduler, who has the responsibility to process and track all physician referrals and to ensure prompt payment of bills. General Requirements •Develop a tool for recruitment and oversight of physicians providing case review. •Ensure the participating physicians meet the professional qualifications. •Provide the services necessary for physicians to review cases and provide an opinion on causation or impairment. •Comply with the applicable provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 and assure the security and confidentiality of claimant's medical records.
