- Description
- This notice serves as a Sources Sought for Basic and Advanced Welding Courses of Instruction (COI) from vendors within 50 miles of 1300 Helicopter Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23459. Naval Special Warfare (NSW) requires training on welding and cutting concepts and developing Basic and Advanced Welding capabilities to maintain and repair various types of equipment. Contractor shall provide all personnel, management, materials, equipment and facilities necessary to ensure all students complete the COI objectives. The class size for each COI shall be four (4) students. Welding Tool Kits are required for each student at the commencement of each Basic Welding COI. Training shall be conducted at the Contractor's facility. The duration of the each COI (Basic and Advanced) shall not exceed 5 days. Upon completion students shall receive a Welding Operator Certificate in accordance with (IAW) the requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/American Welding Society (AWS) 5.1, D1.1, Structural Welding Code - Steel(2010). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 517410 with a small business size standard of $15M. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical capability information. Technical capability information shall clearly demonstrate the vendor's capabilities to meeting this requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received no later than 12:00PM EST, February 26, 2016.
