- LEUT INDUSTRY DAY NOTICE NATC VISITORS PASS - REGISTRATION DOCUMENT LEUT INDUSTRY DAY FLYER TRAVEL INFORMATION FOR NATC This notice is to announce an upcoming Industry Day for the Light Engineer Utility Trailer (LEUT) program. LEUT OVERVIEW Product Director Light Tactical Vehicles (PD LTV) is chartered with the successful life cycle management of the new Light Engineer Utility Trailer (LEUT) Type I and Type II trailer systems. The LEUT is a family of trailers that is composed of a Type I and a Type II trailer. The LEUT Type I is defined as a flatbed, pintle towed, utility trailer with a minimum rating of 5 tons that meets the requirements of the Type I Army Tank Purchase Description. The primary movers at maximum payload for the Type I are 5 Ton and 10 Ton Dump Trucks. The LEUT Type II is defined as a flatbed, pintle towed, utility trailer with a minimum rating of 12 tons that meets the requirements of the Type II Army Tank Purchase Description. The primary movers at maximum payload for the Type II are the HEMTT Cargo Truck and 20 Ton Dump Truck. Providing transportation capability through the LEUT program is a planned low cost, low risk, non-developmental approach to fill a capability gap while improving engineering unit mobility. The Government intends to conduct separate solicitations, evaluations and awards for each LEUT trailer type while utilizing a Best Value Trade-Off (FAR 15.101-1) basis. The awards are anticipated to be a single, Seven-Year, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts (FAR Subpart 16.504). DRAFT ARMY TANK PURCHASE DESCRIPTION Both LEUT draft Army Tank Purchase Descriptions (ATPDs) may be available prior to Industry Day for review, questions, and comments. The ATPDs are DRAFT ONLY, pre-decisional, and are anticipated to be changed before final RFP is released. INDUSTRY DAY PD LTV will host an Industry Day on 16 March 2016 at Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC), Silver Springs, NV 89429 to introduce the LEUT Type I and Type II trailer requirements.
