- This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, management, and financial capability to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, has a requirement to purchase multiple bulk rack units with security cage systems. The Government anticipates award of a single purchase order. The following list includes the required items and the salient characteristics for these items: 1) Bulk Rack Unit; Quantity 2 - Steel Decking - Dimensions: Height 72"; Width 48"; Depth 24" - Minimum shelf weight capacity: 2,500 lbs. - Minimum number of shelves: 4 2) Bulk Rack Unit; Quantity 3 - Steel Decking - Dimensions: Height 72"; Width 60"; Depth 24" - Minimum shelf weight capacity: 2,200 lbs. - Minimum number of shelves: 4 3) Bulk Rack Unit; Quantity 5 - Steel Decking - Dimensions: Height 72"; Width 72"; Depth 24" - Minimum shelf weight capacity: 1,975 lbs. - Minimum number of shelves: 4 4) Bulk Rack Unit; Quantity 4 - Steel Decking - Dimensions: Height 72"; Width 84"; Depth 24" - Minimum shelf weight capacity: 1,725 lbs. - Minimum number of shelves: 4 5) Bulk Rack Unit; Quantity 6 - Steel Decking - Dimensions: Height 72"; Width 96"; Depth 36" - Minimum shelf weight capacity: 1,425 lbs. - Minimum number of shelves: 4 Example of an acceptable product that meets the above salient characteristics is Shelving Direct Bulk Rack Shelving Units with Steel Decking, Stock No. MPS-63696-S, purchased along with an additional shelf, Extra Steel Decking, Stock No. MPB-2484-S. In addition to the above salient characteristics, each bulk rack unit must have rack adjustability and the ability to be bolted to the floor. Moreover, each rack purchased, must have a rack wire mesh security cage system with a sliding door providing accessibility on either side of the rack. All products are subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.225-3 - Buy American Act - Supplies. Responsible firms are welcome to submit a capability statement on or before Tuesday, March 2, 2016 at 4 PM, PST. Submittals will be reviewed and considered by Reclamation during the solicitation planning process. Send your capability package via email to Leslie Dieguez, Contract Specialist at ldieguez@usbr.gov. Your package should include the following information: 1. Capability statement - shall address the equipment listed above in with full product description and the sources ability to meet the required items salient characteristics. Supporting documentation shall be included, such as product literature information, catalog sheets, brochure, etc. 2. Provide your business name, address, point of contact, phone number and email address. 3. Provide your business size & type: 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business or Large Business. All firms should identify whether or not they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) 337215 - Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees for this NAIC. Firms may also provide recommendation for use of an alternate NAICS code. All businesses, regardless of size, capable of providing these items are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought. This notice is designed to locate responsible sources that have an interest, and have the ability to provide the items described herein.
