Description
We are pleased to invite Small Businesses and Minority Owned Businesses to attend The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Path to Sustainability for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Symposium. This symposium supports the White House Executive Order 13532 - Promoting Excellence, Innovation and Sustainability at Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU). The event will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the National Institutes of Health Neuroscience Building, 6001 Executive Blvd. Conference Room C, Rockville, MD 20852, from 9:00am - 4:00pm. The primary focus of the NIH HBCU Symposium is to educate and provide technical assistance to HBCUs on "How to do Business with NIH" and bring awareness to acquisition opportunities and current initiatives here at The National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Symposium will consist of plenary speakers, panelists and matchmaking/counseling sessions. The theme of the symposium is " Teaming for Opportunities in Biomedical "BIG" Data." We believe that the ability to build lasting opportunities with HBCUs is critical to forming lasting partnerships for NIH and HBCUs. Your educational institution has the opportunity to have a tremendous impact on NIH's ability to meet its mission, enhance health and lengthen life, and to create partnerships with this agency. It is our commitment to ensure that we increase the number of grants, contracts and cooperative agreements to these minority institutions, thus allowing them to diversify its revenues and increase the number of minorities in Research and Development (R&D) activities. Please utilize the following registration link ( https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PR82V2W ) if your company is interested in attending this event. Registration must be completed no later than Monday, March 7, 2016 at 8:00pm (Eastern Standard Time). Each company is limited to TWO attendees per company and the registration link will close when we reach 25 registered companies. Your attendance will make this symposium a great success and we are eager to have you to participate. If you have any questions regarding this event please feel free to send an email to NIHSmallBusiness@mail.nih.gov.
