- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement to replace incandescent and fluorescent High-Bay lighting fixtures with LED fixtures. This immediate acquisition is set-aside for participation by small business concerns and there is no incumbent contractor. The USGS contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract. A copy of the RFQ (G16PS00185) may be obtained as an attachment to this synopsis or by contacting the Contracting Officer by email at glewando@usgs.gov on or about February 19, 2016. When available, the solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-86, effective 01 Feb 2016. Please see solicitation with the line items, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses when available. An onsite visit is scheduled for February 25, 2016 at 10 am. Please keep the size of representatives from your company to a limit of 2. It is highly recommended that all interested parties attend the site visit. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by 03:00pm ET on March 10, 2016. Quotations are due no later than 03:00pm ET on March 20, 2016. The Government anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price type contract on or about March 22, 2016. It is the responsibility of interested parties to check back periodically for any amendments to the synopsis or solicitation. Payment protection (either a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit) will be required; performance bonds will not be required. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00, but likely on the low side of that range. The Construction Wage Requirements Statute (prevailing wage, formerly Davis-Bacon Act) will apply. Prospective contractors must be registered general or specialty contractors in an appropriate field (e.g. ¿electrical ¿) in the State of Washington at the time quotations are due to be considered for this project. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered and have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. This system combines data that was formerly contained in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and Online Representation and Certifications (ORCA). For information, review the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a size standard of $15.0M. NOTE: ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT THEIR QUOTES DIRECTLY TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER VIA EMAIL. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT VIA FEDCONNECT. PLEASE GO TO FEDCONNECT FOR A COPY OF THE SYNOPSIS AND SOLICITATION. Please contact the Contracting Officer, Gerry Lewandowski in writing, by email at glewando@usgs.gov, with any questions.
