Please see attached Sources Sought document Please see attached Statement of Work (SOW) Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. Any information provided by Businesses to the Government is strictly voluntary. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought Notice. Contact with other than 502 CONS Government personnel by potential offerors or their employees regarding this project are prohibited. The purpose of this notice is to publicize the forthcoming acquisition. This acquisition is to provide 14 Pre-Trained Specialized Search and Detection (SSD) Dogs for the 341st Training Squadron, in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) - Attachment 1 - to Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, Texas. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract and shall comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, rules, and regulations. The 502d Contracting Squadron anticipates issuing a competitive solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract or Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The projected basic delivery date is April 2016. The solicitation and subsequent amendments will be publicized through the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fbo.gov. Contractors are solely responsible for monitoring the Internet to download the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Paper copies and/or electronic mail of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will not be provided under any circumstances. Prospective offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). This acquisition is subject to the availability of funds. Interested sources should respond to the questions presented within this announcement in order to facilitate the Government's market research efforts. The Government will analyze all responses and determine the business strategy for this acquisition. The Government does not intend to rank submittals. Any questions relating to this announcement must be submitted in writing, via email ONLY, to the Contracting Specialist. The submission should address all questions in the sources sought questionnaire below and your firm's ability to perform the requirement.
