- Redacted Sole Source Justification PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price contract with a base and three option periods to Dako, 6392 Via Real, Carpinteria, CA 93013. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice will be distributed on the electronic website Navy Electronic Commerce ONLINE (NECO) and the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811219, Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance; the size standard is 20.5 million dollars. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Dako, 6392 Via Real, Carpinteria, CA 93013 for maintenance service. Dako is the sole-service provider for the DAKO Artisan Pro System that meets DON's requirements. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined DON's requirement can only be provided by Dako as they are the sole servicing authority authorized to provide maintenance and make repairs of the system. Sole-Source Justification - See Attached This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 05:00pm, EST, February 17, 2016, by email to the attention of Sherri Roche, Contract Specialist, at Sherri.d.roche.civ@mail.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
