Description

Atomic Force Microscope Sources Sought; see attached PDF. An Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) that is mounted inside of a vibration dampened glove box. The glove box also provides for atmospheric type, pressure, and humidity control thru the use of a standalone Purifier and turbo-molecular vacuum pump. An Antechamber (load lock system) is used to provide a means of loading and unloading samples without destroying the atmospheric integrity of the glove box. The glove box is mounted on a support base capable of supporting no less a 1000 pound weight of the glove box and microscope. The microscope uses advanced technology controller to achieve the high resolutions in the X-Y, and Z-direction in all modes of operation. The microscope should be able to operate in a variety of measurement modes, including the contact, intermittent contact (or tapping), lateral force, lift, magnetic force, amplitude and phase, frequency-shift, peak force, electrical characterization, and nanoindentation mode.
