Description

The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, Florida, anticipates soliciting proposals from qualified and verified SDVOSB's and subsequently awarding a single, firm fixed-price construction contract for Project 573-CSI-103, to "RENOVATE NUCLEAR MEDICINE FOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION". This is a Pre-Solicitation Announcement only. Proposals are NOT being requested at this time. Work includes all work associated with renovating a portion of the Nuclear Medicine Department at the VA Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida, to support the installation of PET/CT Scanner Equipment that will be designed and installed under a separate contract by others. Work includes, but is not limited to, architectural, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems, and asbestos abatement work as defined by the plans and specifications. The NAICS code for this project is 236220/size standard is $36.5 million. The Magnitude of Construction Cost range is $500,000-$1,000,000. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price construction contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation, Subject to the Availability of Funds. THIS SOLICITATION IS A TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. PROPOSALS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES THAT ARE VERIFIED IN VETBIZ AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL AND DATE OF AWARD. The solicitation issue date is tentatively scheduled for on or after February 29, 2016. Further details of all dates and events, including site visit and proposal due date will be announced in the solicitation at the time of issue. The solicitation, consisting of various bid/offer documents, specifications, drawings and forms will be available for download at no charge only from the FBO website at www.fbo.gov. This is the only website to obtain official documents and amendments and to register your name (prime and subcontractors) as interested in participating in this procurement. A bidder's mailing list is not maintained nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. All amendments issued to this solicitation will only be available at this website and will not be mailed. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. SolicitationVA-248-16-R-0492 will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about 2/29/2016. No prior information is available until the date of issue. All respondents are required to be registered and verified at www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at www.SAM.gov with complete online Reps and Certs and shall have on file a current and complete VETS 4212 report at https://vets4212.dol.gov/vets4212 (if applicable).
