Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX has a requirement for Biomass Fuel (untreated wood chips) for the Federal Correctional Institution in Estill, South Carolina. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 321113 (Size Standard: 500 employees). The working hours for delivery of this requirement will be regularly scheduled during a five (5) day work week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The contract is based on a history of 3 - 4 deliveries of 28 tons of Biomass Fuel (untreated wood chips) per work week. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the solicitation for a period of one year. This is a reprocurement. The effective date of award is expected to be on or around April 1, 2016. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database under the above NAICS Code. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The facility is expected to require an average of 375 tons of Biomass Fuel per month for an estimated 4500 tons per year. The solicitation will be available on/about February 11, 2016 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about March 1, 2016; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
