Description

Plowing and regular disking or modified plowing/disking with equipment similar to a power harrow or rip disk (including a dozer), seeding, liming, fertilizing, using a cultipacker or pulvi-mulcher, and mulching 28.5 acres on 13 existing wildlife openings. B. Constructing and seeding four acres (two sites) of new wildlife openings. Small residual trees will be removed and slash, rocks, roots, stumps and ground vegetation will be pushed to the edge of the site. The site will then be leveled, graded, disked, limed, cultipacker/pulvi-mulched, seeded and mulched. As much top soil as possible will remain on the site. Large residual, marked trees and large rocks will remain on site. Seed mixes will contain a mixture of clover/Canada wild rye, oats and wildflowers. C. Two - four vernal pools will be created at the sites of opening construction. The vernal pools will cover approximately 0.25 acres per site.
