Description

FAR 52.212-5 This is an amendment to the previous notice (RFQ-RML-C-1771132) of a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 "Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items," as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Submit offers on RFQ-RML-C-1771132-A. This solicitation is an amendment to the previous request for quotes, (RFQ-RML-C-1771132). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC# 2005-86-2, 02/09/2016. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332999 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This is not a total small business set aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Rocky Mountain Laboratories, is seeking to purchase eighteen (18) Socialization Racks for Bats. These racks must be autoclavable and meet the following amended specifications: Amended Specifications - Socialization Racks for Bats: •The caster base frame must be fabricated of 1-1/2" square stainless steel tube •Double handled Squeeze Back that glides on Tivar Hot Plastic Bearings. Squeeze will stop 6" from the front of the cage to prevent animal injury •Cages must be compatible and interchangeable with existing Carter 2 NHP One-Over-One Socialization and Enrichment Racks. FOB Point shall be Destination; Hamilton, MT 59840. Place of Performance: Rocky Mountain Laboratories, NIH 903 South 4th Street Hamilton, MT 59840 United States Award will be based on the capability of the items offered to meet the above stated salient characteristics, price, past performance, delivery, warranty, and the best value to the government. This is an open-market combined synopsis/solicitation amendment for eighteen (18) Socialization Racks for Bats as defined herein. The government intends to award a purchase order as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. Submission shall be received not later than, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. MST.
