Description

This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market conditions relative to NAICS 541513, Size standard $27.5 Million. The Service Area Office Central on behalf of the Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 Logistics Office (VISN 10) is seeking potential qualified vendors to provide Preventative Maintenance and Repair of a Real Time Location System (RTLS) deployed throughout the VISN 10 Healthcare System (VAMC's Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Chillicothe and the Parma, OH Outpatient Clinic. Background: The VISN 10 RTLS is based on 802.11IR at all facilities excluding the Parma, OH Outpatient Clinic, which is based on 802.15.4 ZigBee. The five (5) functions that RTLS performs within VISN 10 are: 1.All capital assets are identified with active or passive tags, and can be located at all locations within the facilities. Infrastructure and hardware currently supports VISN-wide inventories of at least 125,000 pieces of equipment, 255,000 surgical instruments, and expendable Cath Lab Supplies (63,000). 2.Remote monitoring for refrigerators and assets that require temperature and humidity monitoring. 3.Tracking all supplies utilized in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. 4.Tracking workflow through Supply Processing & Distribution for assets and instruments. 5.Monitoring long-term patients while providing location information and preventing possible elopement. Major Hardware/Software Components: Refer to attachment Description of Services: Interested parties will be required to provide all transportation, labor, parts, materials and individual test equipment required to service, maintain, upgrade, and expand as required, the existing RTLS. Interested parties must also be able to provide a 24/7 help desk to mitigate issues in order to maintain a 99.9% up-time status of the system. Responses to this sources sought must include the following information. 1. Socio-economic status of business such as Service Disabled Veteran owned business or Veteran owned small business, 8(a) small business, Hub Zone small business, and Small disadvantage business. 3. Does your company have experience in repair and maintenance or installation of an RTLS system? If so, please provide a brief synopsis of relevant experience to include size of system installed/serviced and environment (i.e. medical facility, warehouse operations, manufacturing activity etc.) 4. What does your company primarily provide? 5. Will your company enter into a joint venture or other relationship in order to provide this service? 6. How long has your company existed?
