- Description
- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source service contract to the Santa Clara Pueblo to perform archaeological mitigation for damage to archaeological site LA 180079. Mitigation will be accomplished by providing Santa Clara Pueblo with funding to hire the necessary staff and purchase equipment to perform cultural resources inventory, condition assessment, monitoring, and compliance in order to ensure the protection of important cultural resources on Santa Clara Pueblo lands. Offerors must possess the knowledge required to identify such resources. The work is to be performed on Santa Clara Pueblo reservation lands in potentially sensitive area where non-Pueblo members are not allowed. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests for a copy of the solicitation will not be honored. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. All responses received within 15 days will be considered. If no affirmative written response is received, the service contract will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed service contract is based on the fact that Santa Clara Pueblo is the only firm capable and authorized to give the necessary support. Award of this service contract will be based upon FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) "When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source...", as well as the possible responses to this notice, and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the following email address no later than 2:00 PM (MST) 24 February 2016: Stephanie.n.parra@usace.army.mil.
