- Description
- The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas is soliciting contractors to perform prescribe fire support. For this requirement, the contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, licenses, supervision, expertise, and other incidentals necessary to successfully provide prescribed fire support on the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, in accordance with the performance work statement. Work includes but is not limited to tasks and subtasks related to prescribe fire operations such as: furnishing, fully equipping, and staffing Type 5 and 6 Wildland Fire Engines; furnishing, fully equipping, and staffing 4X2, 4X4, 4X4 Crew Cab Pickups; furnishing, fully equipping, and staffing chainsaws with qualified operators; ignition, holding, mop-up and other assigned project work as needed; furnishing, fully equipping, and staffing Heavy Equipment for fire line construction and rehabilitation. This is a request for proposals which will result in award of multiple firm-fixed price, performance-based, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts for a basic period of performance of date if award through December 31, 2016, plus two one-year option periods. Submission of an offer for the basic contract period constitutes an offer to perform in the option period(s), if exercised. The Government anticipates making award to multiple offerors as a result of the solicitation. This project is set-aside 100% for small businesses. Award will be made based on the best value to the Government and can be made on initial offers. The solicitation and related documents will be available for download at https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about February 13. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed out.
