Description

Department of Veterans Affairs Network 21 Contracting Office will be issuing a Request for Proposal for the Improvement of Walkways. The Palo Alto Division (VAPAHCS) has a requirement to improve walkways on campus. The requirement will consist of the following: GENERAL This project will improve the campus walkways at the VA Palo Alto campus. The following sites will be paved with concrete walkways: 1. Concrete walkway connecting Parking Garage (PS-1) to Building 4 2. Concrete walkway connecting Building 4 to stairwell just off of Building 101 loading dock. 3. Concrete walkway connecting Building 4 to Bldg. 500. 4. Concrete walkway connecting Gap between walkways adjacent to Building T-7D. 5. Concrete walkway connecting Gap between Building 50 parking area and Miranda Ave sidewalk adding non-slip material. 6. Curb cuts, concrete walkway extension and crosswalk paint for left side of Freedom Way intersection with Loop Road. 7. Concrete side walk and cub and add landscape in front of Defenders Lodge and Loop Road. 8. Concrete walkway with an incline to level the manhole and step in Bldg. 500. 9. Add steps and hand rails at Bldg. 500 and connect the walkway. 10. Widen the area of the sidewalk in front of Building 100 and relocate the garden. This procurement is for a total Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5M. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 15. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. The anticipated posting of this solicitation is February 15, 2016 and closes March 14, 2016 at 10:00AM PST. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), availability of this solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Inquiries: All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing by email to charee.harris@va.gov. No telephone questions will be accepted. Questions will not be accepted within 5 days of the closure date of March 14, 2016. Notifications: Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will be posted on this website.
