- Description : The Office of the Aviation Development Directorate (ADD) will conduct Industry Days to present basic research, applied research, and advanced research of the Army's Aviation Science and Technology in order to foster transition from science and technology to higher levels of research, development, test, and evaluation. Purpose : Plan, foster, and encourage scientific research in recognition of its paramount importance as related to the Army's Aviation current and future fleet. ADD industry days will outline recent research results and applicability to Army's Aviation current and future fleet, along with ADD S&T's development strategy related to enhancing the Army's Aviation Fleet. Information of upcoming new programs/project overviews will be provided, in addition to experimental results and project plans for future Aviation S&T sponsored research. Focus Areas : Mission systems, Platforms, Sustainment, Concept Designs & Assessment, Power, Basic Research and Contracting Opportunities. Attendees : No foreign Nationals or Dual Citizenship. Location : The ADD Industry Days will be hosted by the Aviation and Missile, Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), Community Action Center, Main Conference Room, Bldg 3711, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5000 Wednesday and Thursday, March 2 & 3, 2016. Check‐in will begin at 7:30AM Central Standard Time (CST). The meeting will begin both days at 8:00AM CST. Limited opportunities for sidebar meetings will be available on March 3, 2016. These opportunities will be limited to 30 minutes sessions. Registration and Access to Redstone Arsenal : This is a no-fee event and participation is limited to two (2) company representatives (this may change based on the number of responses). Companies are required to pre-register - no foreign nationals will be allowed to attend. Registration will close at 4:00PM CST on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Pre‐Registration is required. Walk‐ins will not be permitted. All expenses associated with attendance will be the responsibility of the participant(s).Please register with the registration form located at https://www.amrdec.army.mil/amrdec/id2016/EventForm/ADDform.aspx Send one completed registration form for each company representative to usarmy.redstone.rdecom-amrdec.mbx.aviation-industry-day@mail.mil using the subject line: ADD INDUSTRY DAY REGISTRATION. An e-mail confirmation will be sent. No phone calls will be accepted for registration. No late registrations will be accepted, no exceptions. Attendees must present a current photo ID (driver's license, military ID, or passport) matching the attendee information submitted via the Registration Form to gain entry into the event. A Government Issued I.D. is also required for admittance onto Redstone Arsenal. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in. Post Event : Questions/comments resulting from the ADD Industry Days will be accepted via email from March 3-11, 2016. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. ADD will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
