Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION PURSUANT TO FAR 15.201(c)(7)(e) BACKGROUND VAMC Cleveland's Patient Care Services (Nursing) team has a purchase requirement in accordance with the Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA). The national BCMA industry standard for replacing bar code scanners, computers, and medication carts is three years due to the 24/7 constant use and critical nature of the equipment. The equipment to be purchased will replace the medication workstations, carts, and scanning equipment used by pharmacy, nursing and the respiratory staff in the medical center, the CLC, Domiciliary, and the outpatient clinics to provide safe and timely medication administration and documentation for the veteran population. The main assembly that make up the whole requirement are Pharmacy Transport Carts (16 each) with subassemblies such as medication workstations, and accessories; Honeywell manufacturer's brand scanners; Dell manufacturer's brand computers, keyboards, and mouse pads; and 24" flat screen LCD monitors. The purpose of this RFI is to seek market research information from various sources of supply that market/sell the medical carts, workstations including computers, keyboards, etc., as previously mentioned based on equipment supply, technical installation of the peripheral equipment, and training of VAMC Cleveland's patient care services team. The small business industry standards are 423450, or 339113. It is foreseeable the medical cart supplier would need to be engaged with a subcontractor in order to perform the terms and conditions within a fixed priced contract as a procurement instrument. Our objective is to survey the market and determine if the upcoming procurement competitive procedure will be based on full and open competition; full and open competition after exclusion of sources; or small business set aside programs corresponding to FAR Part 19. Please review the following attached, documents: 1)Product Description RFI 2)Statement of Work 3)Production Schedule 4)Offer Representations and Certifications (ORCA) Any interested parties should fill out the ORCA document and send to Thomas.Edwards3@va.gov nlt February 9, 2016, 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time. As previously mentioned, the purpose of this RFI is to survey the market to determine if the procurement, competitive acquisition forum will be advertised via Federal Business Opportunities, or NASA SEWP. DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(5)(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation.
