Request for Information General Information Document Type: Request for Information (RFI) Response Due Date: 26 February 2016 - 16:30 local time Classification Code: V119 - Other Cargo and Freight Services NAICS Code: 488119 - Other Airport Operations NOTE: For companies interested in this notice, please ensure responses account for the requested information outlined below. Overview This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes. The U.S. Air Force, 48 th Contracting Squadron is seeking information regarding potential sources and additional commercial standards in order to assess the competiveness of the commercial marketplace for Aircraft Fleet Baggage Handling services at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. Contracting Office Address 48 CONS/LGCA - Lakenheath, Building 977 Boston Drive RAF Lakenheath, Brandon, Suffolk IP27 9PN Pricing/Payment Information Payment under US Government Contracts must be made by means of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT.) Vendors who wish to be considered for an award shall be registered with SAM (System Acquisition Management) and WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow). Note that there is not an associated cost to register accounts under the aforementioned databases. Description The contractor shall provide all tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and labor, necessary to provide fleet and baggage handling services at the 727 AMS Aerial Port, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. Service includes, but is not limited to the following: to provide 24-hour dispatch service under operations control; baggage handling to consist of building and weighing baggage pallets, secure, load/unload, and deliver loose and/or palletized passenger baggage; aircraft servicing to consist of providing inventory of all accountable aircraft service items, interior cleaning, passenger comfort service, water service, and wet and dry ice service; catering services that consists of picking up meals, snacks, and beverages from In-flight Kitchen and delivering to/from aircraft; staircase vehicle services that provides staircase vehicle support to all required aircraft; records and reports that consists of providing daily and monthly summary reports, complete and maintain all required files and forms to properly account for and trace all supplies and equipment; and quality control that establishes and maintains a quality control system to ensure professional fleet and baggage handling services are performed. Place of Performance Information The place of performance locations are RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. Anticipated period of performance is 01 October 2017 with four (4) option year periods) Requested Information The following is requested from interested companies; •1. Please indicate if your company is willing/able to provide Aircraft Fleet Baggage Handling services •2. Please provide brochures/descriptive literature commonly provided to the general public if possible. •3. Based upon the above description and delivery information, are there any aspects that are unclear and/or do not allow a clear understanding of the US Government's requirements? •4. Based upon the above description and delivery information, are there commercial industry practices that appear to differ greatly than what is being requested by the US Government under the anticipated, forthcoming solicitation/tender?
