- Amendment 0002 Drawings Amendment 0002 Please note these changes as of 4 February 2016. Please note that these are in response to some but not all bidder inquiries. 1. The specifications and drawings for subject project are hereby modified as follows (revise all specification indices, attachment lists, and drawing indices accordingly). a. Specifications. (Descriptive Changes.) (1) Section 00 73 00, page 78, paragraph 1.4, insert the following after the last entry within the paragraph (previously 1.4.b): "c) The Contractor shall perform on the site, and with its own organization, work equivalent to at least fifteen (15) percent of the total amount of work to be performed under this contract. This percentage may be reduced by a supplemental agreement to this contract if, during performing the work, the Contractor requests a reduction and the Contracting Officer determines that the reduction would be to the advantage of the Government. (2) Section 01 10 00, page 145, paragraph 5.8.1, remove the existing paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following: "The electrical systems for all facilities shall conform to APPLICABLE CRITERIA, including but not limited to UFC 3-520-01, UFC 3-530-01, UFC 3-550-01, and UFC 3-575-01." (3) Section 01 10 00, page 159, paragraph 6.3.4, remove the existing paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following: "Provide exterior concrete walks, courtyards, stairs with 1 ½" steel pipe painted handrails, bicycle parking, and entry sidewalks including widths as noted on the drawings. Site design is subject to approval by the Government. Provide walks and handicap ramps accessing handicapped entrances that meet the requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act. Portland cement concrete sidewalks are to be a minimum of 4 inches thick. Walks used for fire department (emergency vehicle) access need to conform to UFC 3-600-01, NFPA 1 and Fort Carson Fire Department Criteria." (4) Section 01 10 00, page 185, paragraph 6.5.2.12, remove the existing paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following: "Exterior Guard and Stair Railings: All exterior steel railings shall be painted with a color similar to that on the adjacent BOF/COF projects." (5) Section 01 10 00, page 194, paragraph 6.9.1.2, remove the existing paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following: "Provide the primary feeder to the facility transformer from the Fort Carson Distribution system connection point using a concrete duct-vault/manhole system. Design all Electrical distribution systems in such a way to allow for switching and sectionalizing to be achieved from above ground. Fort Carson Operations and Maintenance Contractor will energize all new 15 kV systems under separate contract with the Government. Install a new 4x7 electrical vault between V0059 and V0566 (see paragraph 6.9.1.8 for vault description). Three vaults are being installed by another project between V0059 and V0566 (V0707, V0708, and V0709). Approximate distance between vaults V0059 and V0707 is 250 feet. Approximate distance between vaults V0707 and V0708 is 500 feet. Approximate distance between vaults V0708 and V0709 is 350 feet. Approximate distance between vaults V0709 and V0566 is 350 feet. Contractor shall field verify vault locations during design." (6) Section 01 10 00, page 207, paragraph 6.11.4(f), remove the existing paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following: "All classrooms shall have 1 voice, 3 NIPR data jacks, and 3 commercial internet jacks." (7) Section 01 10 00, page 216, paragraph 6.10.3.3(b), remove the existing paragraph in its entirety and replace with the following: "Refer to paragraph 6.11.6 Heating and Cooling systems for the glycol requirements." b. Drawings (Reissued). The following drawings are revised with latest revision date of 29 JAN 2016, and reissued with this amendment. (1) Sheet ES101, ELECTRICAL SITE PLAN (2) Sheet ES102, ELECTRICAL SITE PLAN 2. This amendment is a part of the proposing papers and its receipt shall be acknowledged on the Standard Form 1442. All other conditions and requirements of the request for proposal remain unchanged. If the proposals have been mailed prior to receiving this amendment, you will notify the office where proposals are received, in the specified manner, immediately of its receipt and of any changes in your proposal occasioned thereby. a. Hand Carried Proposals shall be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, Contracting Division, 1616 Capitol Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68102-4901. b. Mailed Proposals shall be addressed as noted in Item 8 on Page 00 10 00-1 of Standard Form 1442. c. Electronic Mail (Email). It is acceptable to provide pricing proposals by Email to the following address: John.D.Hickman@usace.army.mil Any Email message may be followed by a telephone call advisting of the Email transmission and by a hard copy of the cost proposal sent to arrive in the following office no later than the next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays).
