Description

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP FLC, Norfolk, VA, intends to negotiate a single award, firm fixed price contract under FAR Part 13 �Simplified Acquisition Procedures � for the Naval Safety Center (NSC). This solicitation is for the maintenance of the existing security and access control systems located at the Naval Safety Center. The maintenance will involve repairing or replacing equipment, updating software, and providing technical support. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561621, Security Alarm Systems Sales Combined with Installation, Repair, or Monitoring Services, with a size standard of $20.5 million. This is a Brand Name action as only those who are a certified DSX dealers are able to repair the current access control system. Additionally, because this requirement involves responding to service calls for on-site repairs it is a requirement that the vendor be within a two hours travel radius of the work site. The resulting contract will be for a twelve (12) month base period and four (4) twelve month option periods. All options will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 17.206 (a) A complete RFQ package will be available by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil or FEDBIZOPPS at http://www.fedbizzops.gov on or about Monday, February 8, 2016. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will NOT issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered is the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, during the performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside of the United States. Lack if registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual conformation requirements via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov.
