- MICC-Fort Knox intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) to provide boxed meals for applicants processing through the St. Louis Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), located in St. Louis, MO. The period of performance is 01 August 2016, or date of contract award, whichever is later, through 31 July 2017, with four one-year option periods. The contractor shall furnish boxed meals to include a sub-type sandwich with lettuce and tomato, bag of chips, cookie, apple, drink, straw, and napkin. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS 311991 (Size Standard: 500) applies to this procurement. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal. The St. Louis MEPS is not located on a military installation. The RFP will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about 22 March 2016 with proposals due on 22 April 2016. These dates are subject to change. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted on these websites. Contractors are cautioned to check the websites periodically for amendments. Solicitation mailing list will not be compiled and amendments will not be sent out in paper copy. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website to be eligible for award of a contract. Faxed offers and amendments will not be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing to the contract specialist via email to brian.r.welch12.civ@mail.mil by 12 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) 05 April 2016.
