- Request For Information Notice - Aesculap DRSHD Recorder System Brand Name or Equal This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes, and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this RFI announcement is for market research in order to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified offerors interested and capable of providing the products described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, MD 21702, is seeking potential qualified offerors to provide the following: ITEM: Aesculap DRSHD Recorder System Brand Name or Equal to upgrade existing Zeiss S8 surgical microscope digital imaging and recording capabilities. The existing capabilities of the imaging system are to be upgraded from SVGA (Super Video Graphics Adapter) resolution to FHD (Full High Definition) or greater. REQUIREMENTS: DRSHD 1080P Recorder: - Recorder must be capable of capture and playback of Full 1080p (1920x1080 progressive) video and still HD images - Shall be compatible with the Zeiss S8 surgical microscope - Recorder must have audible feedback to confirm recording commands - Recorder must have the ability to record using camera head controls - Recorder must be able to transfer video and still images to storage devices using USB or network storage devices. - Recorder must have a minimum onboard storage capacity of one and a half TeraBit (TB) - Recorder must have an interface for DICOM server connectivity 15" LCD Touchscreen: - System must include a system control touch screen monitor - Monitor display must have 15" diagonal measurement - Monitor must be a matrix TFT LCD with an aspect ratio of 4x3 - Monitor must be sealed from dust, dirt and liquids - Monitor viewing angle must be at least 1500 horizontal and 1200 vertical - Minimum optimal resolution (native) is 1024 x 768 - Monitor video input is RGB or DVI-D - Monitor must have USB connectivity - Monitor must have wall mount capabilities PSPC Pole Cart with Isolation Transformer: - System must include a portable cart to house and transit all peripheral recording hardware not attached to the surgical microscope - Cart must have an AC isolation transformer with AC outlets in support of all recording devices housed on the cart. - Cart must have three shelves for placement of the recorder, CCU, isolation transformer, mouse and key board - Cart must have wall mount mechanism on the pole for the touch screen and viewing monitors IPad Integration: - System must have the ability to transfer 1080p HD videos and stills directly into an Apple IPad 24" HD Display: - System must have a 24" HD widescreen LED viewing monitor with DVI-D video input - Minimum monitor resolution 1920 x 1080 - Monitor must have wall mount capability Video Adapter: - Camera head must able to replace current camera with no modifications necessary to the existing surgical microscope assembly (approx. 29mm x 32mm x 40mm) - Camera head must connect directly to or use an adaptor when mounted onto the microscope housing HDMI/HDSDI Camera Control Unit: - Camera control unit (CCU) must have various video outputs to include HDMI, RGB, Video, S-Video and SDI - CCU must be compatible with 1/3 type 3MOS camera head - CCU must have color bar display - CCU must have the following functions: freeze frame, dynamic range selection, gain selection, scene file selection, select, white/black balance and menu position (up, down) switches - CCU must have RS-232 9 pin remote terminal connector - CCU must have synchronizing signal output/input connector and selection switch 1/3" 3mos Camera HD: - Camera head must have a 1/3 3MOS HD image sensor - Camera head must work with internal and external synchronization - Camera must be capable of 1000 lines of horizontal resolution. - Camera head must be compatible with CCU 10M Cable: - Camera head must have at least a 10m camera cable to the CCU Power Supply: - Camera head and CCU must have a medical grade regulated power supply - Power supply output is a regulated 12VDC The Capability package shall include, at a minimum:1) Identification of the organization name, telephone number, and point of contact (also with title, phone, fax, and email); 2) Organization Size/ownership of business, i.e. large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), Disabled-Veteran, Veteran, Women-owned Business, and Hub-zone; 3) Cage Code, DUNS# and Tax ID# (TIN#); 4) Company profile: number of employees, annual sales history, locations and if CCR registered.; 5) Identification of any GSA Schedules held by the organization; 6) Experience and familiarity with providing Aesculap DRSHD Recorder Systems; 7) Whether the organization is an authorized reseller/distributor of the Aesculap DRSHD Recorder Systems; and 8) Contract references in the past five (5) years relevant to the acquisition to include: contract number, agency supported, whether or not you were the prime or subcontractor, period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value, technical monitor and phone/fax number, POC with current phone/fax number, and a brief description of the effort. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. No sub¬contracting opportunity is anticipated.
