- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), intends to award a single-source award for the Pilot qualification training on the Gulfstream G-650 for AFS and AIR inspector/pilots. The FAA intends to issue an award to FlightSafety International Inc., (DUNS 046173175) Flushing, NY, for the required services. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on a search of the FAA National Simulator Database (NSD). There is only one flight school that owns and operates the G650. In addition the AFS-205 FAA National Simulator Program website ™s list of qualified simulators and flight training devises verification can be found http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/nsp/train_devices/ Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA ™s decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. The proposed NAICS Code for this acquisition is 611512 śFlight Training ť with a size standard of $27.5 in millions of dollars. This announcement is for information purposes only, not a Solicitation or Request for Proposal.
