- Solicitation for License Water System Operator Return Package for Solicitation Experience Questionnaire This solicitation is a Request for Quotes for a License Water System Operator The Contractor shall provide Water system operation services for El Portal water system and El Yunque Recreation Area water system at El Yunque National Forest (EYNF). The work must be performed by a water operator licensed in Puerto Rico, lic. Level 2. PROJECT LOCATION - El Portal water system consists of a slow-sand filtration plant with a surface water source which supplies potable water for El Yunque Headquarters office building and El Portal Visitor's Center building. The filtration system operates entirely by gravity. The plant is located at the intersection of road PR 191 with PR988. The water intake is located inside of the forest and is accessed by a service trail. El Yunque Recreation Areas system operates two deep-wells and pump stations. This system supplies recreation area at El Yunque NF, road PR191. The system located along road PR191, starting from yokahu tower (Km.8.9 approx.) and ending approximately at Km 12.7. The system has two water reserve tanks and distribution lines that are located along forest trails. Please base your prices on the following: • 8 hours per day and 333 days See attached solicitation for all details ***** This solicitation shall result in a base plus three years option fixed price contract.
