- Summary Table of Requirements IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions IRPOD Questions The Naval Supply Weapons System Support (NAVSUP WSS) Nuclear Directorate is dedicated solely to providing logistics and sustainment support to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We are responsible for the provisioning, procurement, and quality assurance of all components within the secondary system of the Navy's nuclear propulsion plants, also known as nuclear reactors. This Request for information (RFI) is being used as a market research tool in the effort to align our chemical requirements with the commercial marketplace. We are requesting information from all businesses interested in supplying nuclear water chemicals for the Navy Nuclear propulsion system. Eight chemicals have been selected with known container issues from the Navy Nuclear Water Program. A summary table of requirements has been generated (see attached). Based on these requirements, questions for each NIIN have been formulated and attached to this RFI. The questions are tailored to address each functional requirements area (preparation, containers, unit of issue, packaging, testing). In addition to the questions Individual Repair Parts Order Data (IRPOD) for each chemical have been attached, these IRPODs are the current requirements for each item. Interested parties are requested to respond to the specific questions attached to this RFI. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Jason Taylor jason.taylor7@navy.mil. Information returned from the RFI will used to evaluate any viable commercial alternative to existing requirements and make changes if appropriate.
