- Southwest Alaska Network (SWAN) Vessel Charter for Winter Marine Bird and Mammal Surveys near Katmai National Park and Preserve (KATM), Alaska This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is P16PS00463 and is issued as a request for proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-86, dated February 1, 2016. This is a small business set-aside procurement under NAICS classification code: 483114, which has a size standard of 500 employees. CLIN 10: Daily Rate: $_______ X 7 days=$_____________ Contractor shall provide a vessel to include all equipment, materials (i.e., fuels, meals, lodging), and labor in support of the National Park Service (NPS) Southwest Alaska Network (SWAN) Nearshore Monitoring Program. The vessel shall provide transportation and support for up to nine (9) NPS SWAN and United States Geological Survey (USGS) passengers and associated expertise to facilitate the marine birds and mammal boat-based surveys in the coastal area of Katmai National Park and Preserve (KATM) in Alaska. The survey will take place between March 1, 2016 and March 31, 2016 for a maximum of seven (7) days, five (5) days in the base price and two (2) additional option day if required. Actual trip timing and length will depend on weather conditions, vessel capabilities (speed, weather conditions vessel can operate in) and tides. The trip will originate and end in Homer, Alaska.
