This RFI is focused on identifying capabilities in the market place and obtaining related technical information for the installation of computer systems utilized in support of TTWCS v.5.4.0.2. The VME Chassis is the only part of its kind used in Tomahawk and is specific to our system with the form Fit Function (F3) characteristics required for the TTWCS system. These VME Chassis are already located on every ship that uses Tomahawk and future procurements will acquire this same part for new construction ships. The envisioned work anticipated to be performed by a contractor as a result of a potential future solicitation is identified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). •1. Requested Information: The Navy requests the following information from parties interested in responding to this RFI: •a. Company Name, Address, CAGE code •b. RFI Response Point of Contact name, telephone number and email address •c. Feedback and questions regarding the feasibility or challenges for performing this work. •2. Procurement Description: COTS part for Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS) nomenclature AN/SWG-5(V)3 & AN/SWG-5(V)4. Its unique form factor is small enough to fit into existing Tomahawk equipment (necessary for retrofit upgrades) and meets requirements for Grade-A shock, noise emissions, EMI transmission, and quality. The VME Chassis is manufactured by Tracewell and has appeared in TTWCS for over the past decade. To maintain backwards compatibility and communications with external interfaces this particular server chassis is required. No alternatives are approved for this function in the Tomahawk Equipment Cabinet. 3. Product/Service Information to be Supplied by Customer a) What does the product do? These parts support the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System. This hardware is used on surface destroyers and cruisers on AN/SWG-5(V)3 as well as the guided missile submarines on AN/SWG-5(V)4. This part is used for tactical operations and legacy communications to external interfaces. The Tomahawk system cannot operate without the VME chassis and this is a retrofit part that has been required in all existing versions of the weapon control system. b) Performance requirements? These parts must meet the performance requirements of the controlling Mil-Spec number or part number as designated by the OEM. c) Where is the product used? This product will be used within the upper level equipment cabinet or console. These large Hardware Configuration Items (HWCI) are installed in a Navy Sheltered environment that is climate controlled.
