- CORPORATE MICHAEL J. CRESCENZ DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER LOCATED AT UNIVERISTY AND WOODDLAND AVE IN PHILADELPHIA IS SEEKING A QUALIFIED SERVICE DISABLE VETERANS OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) The A/E firm shall provide all investigating surveys and verifications of as-built conditions required to fully develop construction documents for the renovations of approximately 1600 square feet of the 3rd floor of Building #2 to install new radiographic equipment (see attached sketches). This project is 100% set aside for SDVOSB. The scope of this project is to renovate existing Radiographic/Fluoroscope Rooms 3A195, 3A2013, A203 and 3A214 including associated control rooms and restrooms for the replacement of medical equipment. Work to include evaluation of the existing HVAC system for new equipment heat load, review of the existing structural support system to be reused for installation of the radiology equipment and electrical provisions as required by the equipment manufacturer. New room finishes shall be provided, including new flooring, ceilings and repainting of walls. Existing sprinkler heads shall be relocated to coordinate with new equipment layout. Lead shielding shall be modified in accordance with report provided by the VAMC Radiation Safety Office. This A-E Services acquisition is being procured in accordance with the Brooks Act (Public Law 92- 582) and implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36. All submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria. A "short list" of three or more firms deemed most highly rated after initial source selection will be chosen for interviews. The Government will not pay, nor reimburse, any costs associated with responding to this request. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. Firms will be selected based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work. THE NAICS (NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM) CODE IS 541310.. Before a SDVOSB is proposed as a potential contractor, they must be certified by VETbiz and registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM internet site at www.sam.gov Failure of a proposed SDVOSB to be certified by the CVE at the time the SF 330 is submitted shall result in elimination from consideration as a proposed contractor.
