Description

Title: VA Community Care Program - Industry Day In an effort to establish early and meaningful correspondence with industry on the new Community Care program, the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), and Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) intend to host an Industry Day the week of March 7, 2015 in or near Eatontown, New Jersey. The objective of this event is to ensure commercial industry understands the functional and technical requirements of the Community Care program; which is intended to clarify eligibility for care in the community, create high-performing networks, and standardize care coordination and provider payments. The agenda for the Industry Day will likely include a General Session along with narrowly defined 1-on-1 sessions. This is anticipated to be a 1-2 day event scheduled from 8:00am EST - 5:00pm EST each day. To assist VA in gauging industry's level of interest for such an event, it is requested that interested parties send an email to Peter Lewandowski, Contract Specialist, at Peter.Lewandowski@va.gov no later than 5:00pm EST on 02/05/2016 indicating the company name, contact information, anticipated number of attendees, and the company's business size, including applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code(s). Interested parties should also indicate whether they would prefer an option to attend the conference virtually, if that option is offered. VA has attached brief slide deck about the Community Care Program. Interested parties are encouraged to review the documentation and submit questions and comments in advance of the Industry Day. VA will address questions and comments either at the Industry Day or in future updates to this announcement, as appropriate. Marketing brochures or elaborate descriptions of the company are neither necessary nor desired. The TAC has assigned a reference number of VA118-16-R-0976 to this event. This number is for informational purposes only and any further updates related to this event may be accessed under this number. The number is not related to a solicitation.
