- Description
- The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Center for Innovative Acquisition Development (CIAD), Special Programs Branch is soliciting quotes for hand crank radios in order to maintain critical stock capability at Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) distribution centers in Guam. A total of 1,500 hand crank radios are to be delivered no later than April 1, 2016 to the DHS/FEMA DC - GUAM BUILDING located at 100. Barrigada, GU 96913. Hand Crank Radios. Each radio must meet the following requirements: Dimensions: 6.5" x 2.25" x 2.0". Retractable Antenna Headphone Jack AM: 525 KHz to 1710KHz FM: 88MHz to 108 MHz Digital 7-Channel Weather Band Weather Alert Mode with audible and visual indication LED Flashlight with a minimum of 35 Lumens Radio with access to both FM and weather band stations Multi-Power Capabilities - Ability to be powered by crank power; dry Cell Power:3 x AAA batteries; External Power: 5v; car charger, or wall charger Light flasher capabilities Emergency siren with at least 130 decibels Cell phone charging capabilities Must be TAA Compliant The vendor shall meet the following packaging requirements outlined by FEMA: Hand crank radios shall be packed in the contractor's standard commercial packaging which shall be shipped on industry standard size pallets (48 inches in length and 40 inches in width, 4-way). Pallets shall be fully covered on all sides (excluding the top and bottom) with a minimum of (10) layer of stretch-wrap. The stretch-wrap shall extend over the top of the packaged product by a minimum of six inches. Material shall be stacked so the total height of each pallet and material does not exceed 55 inches. The contractor shall contact the FEMA Point of Contact (POC) identified on the Purchase Order within 24 hours after contract award to coordinate the delivery schedule. The contractor shall make all deliveries between Monday - Friday and the hours of 8:00 AM-3:00 PM local time. No deliveries will be accepted on Federal Holidays or on the weekend. A government representative will sign for receipt of the hand crank radios at the delivery location. This signature(s) does not imply inspection and acceptance. The signature only acknowledges the delivery was made. Inspection will be made within one (1) week after delivery for any hidden or latent discrepancies and will be reported to the CO.
