This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation (Request for Proposal or Request for Quotations) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, we are not at this time seeking proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Proprietary information or trade secrets should be clearly identified. Description: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Indian Head, Maryland is requesting information on Copper Nickel Manganese manufacturers. This material is needed as part of the MK 27 Toolset and to comply with the MIL-C-22226 Standard. The MIL-C-22226 Standard requires that the material covered by this specification shall also comply with the requirements of MIL-DTL-19595. MIL-DTL-19595 requires that materials have a Magnetic Effect Limits for Non-Magnetic Equipment used in the Proximity of Magnetic Influence Ordnance. This market survey solicits vendors' information that can manufacture Copper Nickel Manganese and provide government drawings that require MIL-C-22226 and MIL-DTL-19595. SUBMISSIONS: Information may be provided in the form of white papers, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, and specifications sheets. Limit your response to 20 pages. Technical Summary Guidance: •1. Vendor representative name and contact information. •1.3. Ability to manufacture Copper Nickel Manganese in accordance with MIL-C-22226 Standard and MIL-DTL-19595. This announcement serves to survey product availability; it is NOT a formal solicitation and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). T his synopsis is for information and planning purposes ONLY, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract or agreement. The U.S. Government will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative as a result of this RFI. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. All data received in response to the Sources Sought /Request for Information (RFI) that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. The Government will not reimburse respondents for the cost of submitting information.
