- Description
- The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego (SWRMC) intends to issue a solicitation to accomplish port and starboard portal crane drive upgrade in support of the ARCO (ARDM 5) - work to be accomplished at the Naval Submarine Base Point Loma, CA. The solicitation will be for a firm fixed-price, total small business set-aside under the NAICS code 336611 - ship building and repairing. The contractor will be required to provide all labor services and materials in accordance with the established statement of work and all applicable government specifications and regulations. Inspections and acceptance of all services will be performed at destination by the cognizant government representative. The contractor is responsible for the use of the latest revision of all references, specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items. The successful offeror will be required to have a NAVSEA approved Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item 009-004, approved and in place at time of contract award. All possible local area sources must hold an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) under DFARS 217.71, or are qualified for and willing to enter an agreement shall be considered by this agency. Firms which do not possess an ABR are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit the Navy to perform an assessment of the ABR application without impacting the vessel's availability dates.
