Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage, Small Veteran Owned Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) relative to NAICS Code: 811219- Other Electronic and precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (Size Standard of $20.5 Million). Responses to this synopsis will be utilized by the Government to determine that appropriate procurement methodology. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published to the general public on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall not be considered as a response to a solicitation. All interested offerors will respond as an interested party to this sources sought. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contract Office-NCO7 is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide coverage at Birmingham VA Medical Center (BVAMC) for Deep Brain Stimulation cases, some Intracranial Tumor cases, and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) cases that require the use of Medtronic's Stealth Station S7 System and Medtronic's Fusion System. In most instances, the Contractor will be contacted at a minimum of 48 hours to reserve technician for scheduled case. Coverage will include one (1) technician to assist for each procedure requiring the use of the Stealth or Fusion systems. The Contractor shall appoint one of its personnel to perform administrative and technical duties. The Contractor shall also provide coverage for emergency cases and call backs. In these cases, the Contractor could receive notice from the Medical Center less than 48 hours. The Government intends to issue a five year contract to include a base year and four (4) additional one year option periods; which is to begin on or around March 1, 2016. If interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information: (1) Is your business small? (2) If small, does your company qualify as a small emerging business, or small disadvantage business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your company is certified under Section 8(a0 of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your company a certified, HUBZone company? (5) Is your company a woman-woman-owned business? (6) Is your company a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned? (7) Is your company a Veteran Owned Small Business? Small business concerns that are considering participation in this potential solicitation process under any Small Business Set-aside shall do so in accordance with the Small Business Act. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to the attention of: clifton.weldon2@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on January 28, 2016. This notice is to assist in determining the availability of capable sources via the commercial industry only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this announcement.
