Description

On Site In- Patient Hemodialysis Services Asheville VA Medical Center The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, North Carolina intends to issue a solicitation for the acquisition of On-Site In-Patient Hemodialysis Services for Veteran and their Beneficiaries at the Charles George Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center (VAMC), Asheville, NC. Services are required from a Contractor to provide continuous seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day on-call coverage for hemodialysis services at the bedside of acutely ill patients at the Charles George VAMC, Asheville, NC. The Contractor shall provide properly trained and qualified registered nurses (RNs) licensed in the state of North Carolina to perform hemodialysis services. It is imperative that services are obtained from a Contractor who, upon receipt of notification of required services, provides a response time to the Charles George VAMC Asheville, NC, within two (2) hours of emergent services, within four (4) hours for immediate services, and within twelve (12) hours for chronic, routine hemodialysis treatments. The Contractor will provide validation of current hemodialysis competencies and each RN shall have current RN licensure and current Basic Life Support (BLS) training/certification. All RN Contractor staff will comply with the credentialing requirements of the Veterans Health Administration to include application of credentials in VETPRO through the Nursing Service designee. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 621492 with a size standard of $38.5 Million. This acquisition is unrestricted. A Firm Fixed price type contract with a 6 month base period of performance with the possibility of four (4) one (1) year option periods which will be exercised at the Government's discretion are anticipated under this solicitation. A formal Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 20, 2016 via FEDBIZOPPS at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the website for downloading the solicitation and any amendments.
