- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for a project called "Concrete Repairs" at the Franklin Falls Dam Service Bridge at the Franklin Falls Dam, located in Franklin, New Hampshire, to determine the interest, availability and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned and Small Business concerns as described below. The NAICS code for these procurements is 238110. The project is planned to be issued on or about May 2016. The project will occur in the summer of 2016 and is expected to take about two months, including submittal approval. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $500,000.00. This project consists of the following components: -Repair concrete on wingwalls at approach bridge abutment. -Repair areas on the deck fascias below the railing posts. There are 34 of these areas varying in damage from cracks that require sealant to moderate concrete spalling requiring removal of loose concrete and repair. -Repair areas on the intake tower corbels that support the bridge trusses. -Repair delaminated areas on the pier at the approach slab bearing points. Repair areas on the pedestals that support the bridge trusses. -repair areas of concrete spalling on the light fixture pedestals -As an Option, repair the upper edge of bond beam on the intake tower on the southeast side only and at a distance from the bridge that is reachable by snooper truck. Contractor should note that work on the bridge will require a suspended platform or use of a snooper truck or a similar method of providing access to bridge components, and fall protection. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, etc.) as well as qualifications and experience in performing concrete repair work on elevated structures using suspended work platforms and/or snooper trucks, or other methods to reach concrete components with difficult access. Please include at least two specific examples of the firm's experience performing the type of concrete repair work listed above. The projects must have been performed within the last five years. Please indicate the team subcontractors that will be used to support the offeror's effort and include their prior experience and qualifications. Proof of bonding capability is required. Responses are due February 5, 2016. Responses should be emailed to ATTN: Lennie.K.Mattis@usace.army.mil. Responses are limited to twenty pages. Interested firms shall provide the above documentation in one original form and one copy. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
