Description
In accordance with FAR 17.503, this is a Sources Sought for Government Requirements: High-throughput characterization of microorganisms, including whole genome sequencing, transcriptomic experimentation, bioinformatics analysis, and phenotypic microarrays. In more detail, eligible entities are needed to perform the following: ? Whole genome sequencing using the Ion Torrent platform for selected bacterial and yeast genomes ? Whole genome sequencing using the 454 platform and 454 large insert paired end protocol for selected bacterial and yeast genomes ? Genomic sequencing on metagenomic samples provided ? Bioinformatic analysis on all samples, including genome assembly, gene annotation, etc. ? Store data files on separate servers that use Department of Defense approved double encryption programs and will provide final results, and if requested, raw data files as well. ? Specialized bioinformatic analyses upon request, such as characterization of genetic variation, identification of unique regions, phylogenetics, etc. ? Complete all tasking in sufficient time to allow closeout of project by 30 September 2016. Closeout shall include a final project report detailing strains analyzed and methods and copies of project data on external hard drive(s). Deliverables: 1. Sequence data for microorganisms, in the form of.fasta files,.gbk files, and if desirable,.sff and/or.fastq files 2. Phenotypic data, in the form of.ps and.xls files 3. Results of specialized bioinformatic analyses in the appropriate file format, such as.bam file, text file, etc. 4. Quarterly report summarizing results 5. Final report summarizing findings Capable vendors need to respond to David.Foreman@nnsa.doe.gov no later than the expiration date at midnight Mountain Time.
