Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Lockheed Martin to provide for one (1) P3 aircraft wing set storage for a period of eighteen (18) months for the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) located in Tampa, FL. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on December 7, 2015 and closed on December 17, 2015. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source Lockheed Martin is the only source of this service based on their extensive experience loading/unloading and storing the P3 aircraft and therefore possesses the required OEM tooling to properly protect the high dollar asset without risk of damage.
