Description

The Government has cancelled contract award made under VA246-15-C-0071 for the delivery of four (4) ERBE APC2 and ERBE VIO 300D electrosurgical units to the Kernersville Health Care Center in Kernersville, NC. The Government is reconsidering whether to issue a sole-source award for the equipment. The purpose of this special notice is to invite firms to comment regarding the procurement and the use of a sole source strategy. The sole source strategy was based on a desire of medical professionals to procure the same brand of equipment to avoid human error during surgery. The original justification and approval is attached only for reference to the original procurement strategy. Comments and questions regarding this notice are due by 8 January 16, 04:30 PM EST.
