Description
List of incumbent contractors for labor-intensive, vegetation management services. Vegetation Management Services Labor Intensive - Contracting North, Pacific Northwest Region The U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Region, Contracting North, requires labor-intensive, vegetation management services, such as: tree planting; pre-commercial thinning; pruning; hand piling of slash; manual tree fertilization; and manual herbicide application. The area of coverage for resulting contracts includes the national forests listed below, which have been split in to two zones, East and West, as indicated: 1. East Zone A. Colville National Forest B. Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest 2. West Zone A. Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest B. Olympic National Forest C. Gifford Pinchot National Forest D. Mt. Hood National Forest E. Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area The intent of this procurement is to establish up to ten (10) multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, (IDIQ) contracts with small business concerns for labor-intensive, vegetation management services. Contracts will be for five years. Government shall place orders totaling a minimum of $2,500.00 against each contract awarded. The maximum combined contract amount of all contracts awarded as a result of this solicitation is $10,000,000.00. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals (RFP). This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on the basis of: (1) experience; (2) past performance; and (3) benefit to the local community. Preference will be given to vendors located in the counties which include a National Forest in Contracting North. Contract award will be to the offerors whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. This solicitation will be available on, or about, JAN 21, 2016. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
