- VA National Surgery Office (NSO) VA Corporate Date Warehouse (CDW) Integration Services This is a Sources Sought Notice (NOT A SOLICITATION). The National Surgery Office is seeking potential sources to provide qualified individuals to provide CDW Integration Services. Please direct all questions to ian.boettcher@va.gov General Requirements: The contractor shall take the lead role in researching, identifying, and documenting the data sources and data fields that populate/will populate surgery-related data in the VA Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) and develop a SQL database with the data points the NSO needs to assess, identify, and monitor Surgery for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Tasks associated with this requirement include the creation of a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 data structure for storage, updates, change logs, and metadata for Surgery-related data in the VA CDW as well as the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SQL stored procedures for data retrieval and identification of records that changed. We also require cross-validation of data between new Surgery tables and existing VA CDW tables to identify any missing or inconsistent records. In addition, the contractor will design, configure, and publish a patient-specific report for surgery patients that show specialty care timelines in graphical and tabular form. And finally, transition training back to NSO at project completion including all relevant documentation of schema and data sources utilized will also be required. Technical Expertise. The Contractor shall have: a.Work history of Microsoft SQL Server database design, maintenance, and content/structure updates b.Work history of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) c.Knowledge of VHA data structures (Vista, BMS, Lab, DSS) and the use of VA File-Man to extract local Vista data; VSSC aggregation/reports of VHA data d.Also desirable but not required is knowledge and application of Pyramid Analytics software for data mining, analytics, and reporting (dashboards) The above information was pulled from the Statement of Work (SOW) in order to provide a general overview of the requirement and in not all-encompassing of the requirement as described in the SOW. All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities with regard to the above requirement. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely with the Government discretion. Firms responding should indicate whether they are, or are not, a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business/service disabled veteran owned small business or a woman owned business. The NAICS code to be used for this acquisition is 6541519 ($27.5M). The Government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent acquisition. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any Government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUB Zone, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, etc).
