Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System at the Fort Wayne Campus in Fort Wayne, IN for brand name Extension Engage software maintenance, extended warranty, and support. The TAC intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Extension Healthcare, 1950 West Cook Road, Suite 101 Fort Wayne, Indiana (IN) 46818 on the basis of other than full and open competition pursuant to authority 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." However, in accordance with FAR Part 5.207(c) (16) (ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The period of performance for software maintenance, support, and the extended warranty shall be date of award through September 30, 2016 with four, 12-month option periods to be exercised at the Government's discretion. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 511210. The anticipated award date is January 19, 2016. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This notification shall close on January 8, 2016.
