- Intent to enter into Sole Source procurement negotiations: Edwards Lifesciences, LLC THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations under Statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), only one responsible source, with: Edwards Lifesciences, LLC 1 Edwards Way Irvine, CA, 92614-5688 The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by supplies available from one source. The objective of this sole source award is to procure the EV100 Clinical Platform for Cardiac Output Monitoring. The decision to procure this specific device is based on its compatibility with the hospital's current Clinical Information System (CIS), its compatibility with the local medical charting system (Essentris), the GE monitors currently in use by the department and capability of the device of producing all of the required physiological measurements required by the Critical Care department. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112; the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 2:00 PM Pacific Time on January 11, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Elizabeth Sanders at elizabeth.n.sanders.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, Intent to Sole Source: Cardiac Output Monitoring."
