Description

Justification for Other Than Full & Open Competition The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) intends to negotiate a sole-source Award under the authority of FAR 6.302, to Jeol USA, Inc. for maintenance of its Scanning Electron Microscope; the projected amount for 3 years is $50,062.93. Jeol is the sole factory authorized provider of service for this equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $20.5 million dollars. The award resulting from this requirement will be pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. THIS SPECIAL NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTATIONS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. If your firm possesses the ability to provide these goods/services, at the designated location, submit technical literature showing your capability of meeting the Government's requirement by the close of this Special Notice.
