- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for medical consultant services for up to 2 Regional Medical Advisors in the field of physical or mental medicine to work under Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The services involve quality assurance reviews of Regional or DDS Medical Consultant casework, independent case reviews, and other medical consultant services. No patient contact will be involved. Computer proficiency is necessary to complete forms, read and answer email messages, and type narrative consultations. The services are performed at JFK Federal Building, 15 New Sudbury Street, Boston MA; 99 High Street, Boston; MA, 5 Post Office Square, Boston MA or other SSA offices when specifically authorized. The associated North American Industrial Classification Code for Physicians Offices (except Mental Health) is 621111, with a small business standard of $11 million, and for Physician Offices (Mental Health) is 621112, with a small business standard! of $11 million. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Quotations received from other than small businesses will not be considered. This acquisition is for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. BPA awardees, or their key personnel, will be required to undergo a security background screening which will include completion of fingerprint cards before beginning performance under the BPA. To be eligible for award, an offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov prior to award. Offerors must have a Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number to begin registration. The period of performance will be from April 1, 2016 for a period of five years. The Government may award up to 2 Regional Medical Advisor BPAs as a result from the solicitation to responsive and responsible offeror(s) whose offer(s) conform to the requirements of the solicitation in terms of experience, past performance, availability and price.
