Description
RFI-OAA-16-000012_Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought Notice issued by the U.S. Agency for International Development Global Health Bureau for conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing support services. This announcement is issued solely for the purpose of conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. This notice is not a solicitation or call for proposals. Any proposals submitted in response to this request will not be considered. USAID will not pay for information submitted nor will it reimburse costs incurred by individuals or entities that elect to respond to this announcement. USAID is not obligated to procure any of the services described herein, nor should the release of this announcement be construed as such a commitment on the part of USAID. This notice seeks information regarding potential sources, entities, available to provide services to the Global Health Technical Professionals Program (GHTP). The purpose of GHTP is to develop a cadre of USAID Global Health Development Professionals with specialized expertise in maternal and child health, reproductive health and family planning, HIV/AIDS, communicable and non-communicable diseases, vector-borne diseases, as well as health system strengthening within the Bureau for Global Health (GH) and Mission health offices. Specifically, GHTP will: (1) identify, recruit, place and support up to 130 technical professionals (TPs) at a time; (2) oversee and support the career development of TPs; and (3) conduct diversity initiative outreach events and exchanges focused on developing and diversifying the health sector workforce. This new mechanism will supplement Global Health (GH) direct-hire technical, professional and operational staff in Washington and in Mission health offices. The award is primarily aimed at technical professionals who have not previously worked for USAID and is meant to serve as an entry point for junior to mid staff who are new to USAID.
