- Description
- This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and there is no solicitation package available and no contract will be awarded as a result of this request. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) is seeking information from industry regarding interested parties that have the capability to incorporate modifications to the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Third-Generation Electro-Optical (EO3) Console Integrated Photonics Asset (IPA), P/N: 2055AS487-3001. The modifications are required to enhance the existing IPA functionality to optimize auto-collimation match-score and boresight alignment test results. The effort will include adjustment of the IPA boresight laser gain, incorporation of a diffuser lens to improve target illumination, adjustment of the integration time of the boresight match-score algorithm, and resolving pixel issues impacting the boresight alignment test. The IPA is an integral part of the CASS EO3 Console, which was developed specifically to address Navy's Electro Optical Support Equipment requirements including support of the F-18 Advanced Tactical Forward Looking Infra-Red (ATFLIR) and H-60 Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) weapon systems. The following information is requested: •1) Describe your company's ability to perform hardware and software modifications to the CASS EO3 IPA to optimize auto-collimation match-score testing and enhance boresight alignment testing. •2) Describe your company's previous work with auto-collimation match-score and boresight alignment software algorithms with regard to the CASS EO3 IPA. •3) As the Government does not own internal EO3 IPA data, describe your company's ability to obtain the requisite data to internally modify the CASS EO3 IPA to effect the aforementioned IPA performance optimizations and enhancements. •4) Provide information about your company / organization including: Brief description of your company / organization; Small / large business, 8A, hub-zone, veteran owned status; any past or present Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards related to other Electro-Optical work conducted. •5) Provide commercial pamphlets or any additional information you desire. It is requested that responses to this RFI be submitted via email to Shanna Cermak at shanna.cermak@navy.mil, or Kevin Smith at kevin.smith11@navy.mil, no later than 10 days from the date of this posting. The Government may or may not elect not to discuss submissions received in response to this RFI with individual responders. There is no requirement to respond to the RFI however, the Government places tremendous value on the information received and may utilize the information to finalize its acquisition strategy.
