The contract is anticipated to consist of a three-year base for MVPS development and an option for prototypes and special test equipment; award is anticipated in the 4th quarter of fiscal year 2016. The development will be procured on a cost plus incentive fee basis and the prototypes/special test equipment will be procured on a cost plus fixed fee basis. The redesigned MVPS will replace the current MVPS used in the SubHDR antenna to improve the Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) The MVPS is used to provide low voltage power to other components throughout the SubHDR system and shall be capable of meeting the system availability (Ao) requirement of.94 or greater through the year 2035. Based on market research, SPAWAR is soliciting the requirement as a total small business set-aside under FAR Part 19.502-2. Offers from other than small business concerns will not be considered.
