Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) to AMPEX Data Systems Corporation (Cage Code 0PN68) Redwood City, CA on a sole source basis for a Fixed-Price IDIQ type contract for the procurement of up to quantity one hundred fifty (150) E-2 Combined Data Loaders (ECDL) part number 4094AS0100-1. The ECDL was developed utilizing proprietary information that facilitates data transfer to/from the Network File Server (NFS) removable media to other off-aircraft systems. The Removable Storage Media (RSM) / Compact Removable Storage Media (CRSM) Interface Device p/n 2820250-010 is a required component of the ECDL. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own the data rights. A competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
